I agree. The planetary gears can be changed out. I was planing on going down the road you are figuring out but found a turbo tip used with a little physical damage on the underside for 1k.. My plans are to rebuild and put on the shelf. I have two turbo tips now so I most likely need it down the road.

C2 tiptronic bought and paid for. Shipping pending! This won't be anything I do in the next week or month so don't be looking for a significant update in July.

I am....when this thing comes in I'm gonna clean it up and get to studying. Eventually il take it apart and start sourcing gaskets, seals, clutches, and other parts. Gaskets are easy if you can't find them. You can always make your own from Reinz material. I'm nowhere near blowing my tranny from a performance standpoint. I'm still on stock turbos so I have plenty of time.

Here is the infamous K3 drum along with new single sided frictions, steels, apply plate, backing plate, and snap ring.
