Haven't the slightest idea. Weight doesn't really seem to matter unless you are racing and a 19 would probably be the max in that case. I went with a heavier 19 inch from the stock hollow turbo twist 18 but I made sure to keep the rolling diameter super close by going with the 315/25/19 in the rear. I have heard horror stories about not matching up the tires properly. What sidewall height do you have out back with the 20's? I originally wanted TechArt wheels and found a good deal on a used set of 20's but I was talked out of it and went with 19's just to be safe.

It looks like you're within mechanical tolerance range, so now it's just a matter of appearance. Some will like it, others... well, not so much. As long as it works for you, who cares what others say. But you did ask. ;-)

Here are the tires I went with.

Looks amazing!

A few questions...

  • any rubbing in the rear?
  • what is the rear offset?
  • any fender mods necessary for clearance in the rear?
  • how much clearance is there between the rear tire and the fender?

I am considering 20s myself, and need the following info to see if they will fit on my car.

Thanks!!!

I need to check the offsett. I believe i have 1mm rear spacers i will check also. No rubbing, no fender rolling but i do have about 6k in suspension for these too look right.

Coilovers, drop links, toe links, camber kit, h&r sway bars. Not sure of some of the stuff i listed matters lol.

Thanks for the quick reply.

I see the wheels came in offsets et55 or et36. If it is et36, that will be very good to hear. Let me know what you find.

The suspension mods are definitely important too, so thanks for noting that. In the end, do you know how much you dropped the front and rear? I am wondering if I can get away with H&R springs, which will drop the car an inch front and rear. However, I know from experience with other cars, when you go with big wheels, you have to have a nice drop and the offset bang on, or else you end up looking like you are driving a 4x4.

You definitely nailed it with your setup. Nice work.

Thx so much but to be honest the suspension was half done alreasy when i bought it. Get h&r coilovers there a little more then springs put them on the springs will not work and you will not like the ride anyways. It will look like a 4 wheel drive. Then get it aligned and your done.

The 'deal' I found on the 20 inch wheels is going to end up costing me $6000 by the time I am done. LOL

ROFL.

I am not a fan; we're talking cheap boat anchor* wheels with fake CF on them.

~31lbs a corner

Why waste your time posting in here if your not a fan? It's not cheap it's pretty expensive 300.00 a wheel and takes awhile to do. Same finish as a front grille or mirrors.

Hey man I'm not trying to be a dick or anything but I don't think you really understand what was done to your wheels. Personally I think you were swindled out of your money and falsely led to believe they were wrapping your wheels in carbon fiber which is NOT the case.

Check out this YouTube video. This is what they did with your wheel.
