996 803 089 04 A08 for black vinyl 3 spoke from a 2000 Boxster S. Same part number for a 2000 996. Double check with your parts dealer as Porsche loves to change part numbers. Jeff

996Turbo.. Im not sure where you get your information from.. I don't think Porsche designed there airbag crests to deploy in your face. When you use heavy duty glue or double sided tape and attach the crest that Chris purchased to the existing crest it isn't coming off. As you can see from these pictures the airbag deploys around the crest. Of course Im not a expert in glue or heavy duty 3M tape but just thought you'd might use some facts in your claim.

Also here are some pics of the before and after with the silver crest.

Hi Kevin...

Thanks for the info...Could you tell me what kind of glue you used??? I tried some heavy duty thin 3M tape fro home depot, but the crest sticks out really far.

Thanks in advance!!!

Gary, I know and it sounds great, I was just explaining my situation at the time, I had no other alternative since I was changing the wheel style and all.

Kevin....I'm just using common sense. It's you'r car and do what you want. Personally I wouldn't take the chance.

When I look at those pictures and see what forces are ripping open that hinged panel where the stock emblem is attached , I wouldn't trust MY eyes or forehead or throat to deflect a glued or taped on emblem to save a few hundred bucks.
