Stephen,
Is Zippy's link above the product that you were referring to? The link doesn't make any mention of an ability to clean flux or oils. The products in my previous links at the top of this page do. Please share your thoughts.

If cleaning the sensor often solves the problem as you have previously noted, why wouldn't the recommendation be to clean them rather than buy new ones???

My problem was fixed with the new MAF but the codes did not clear because my data acquistion system was tied into the CAN bus and this was causing a communication fault to the PSM unit and causing the codes. Wow!

I'd still like to know how well the 986 MAF works with a stock ECU'd 996TT. I understand how it affects a modified ECU, but will it justly work on a stock TT as a pure drop-in?

That's what I am running.

If someone can tell me what to look for in fuel trim numbers and AFR's and such, I can plot the data real time.

What physical differences are you guys seeing between the two MAFs that's making it more robust? Is it more robust and less sensitive? My MAF is fine, but I may be interested in getting one as backup.
