E,
I want the front end to turn in better. i've got my sways set to the middle. turn in doesnt feel tight enough. i dont mind -1.5+ , i just want to feel connected to the road more. i need the car to turn in quicker. i figured the gt3 lca's would widen the track by 20mm, and this would solve my problem.

pwr,
i agree. lsd made a huge diff. my car felt unsettled in the rear under hard braking. adding an lsd eliminated that. i dont get nervous when jamming on the brakes from high speeds.

btw, 7mm shims ?
i thought it was 10mm each side??

Any chance of making 2pc rears Enrique? I need to get those 350mm 997TT off the back of my GT2 as soon as they're burned up...

No, the GT3 arms come with 7mm of shims (per side) stock from Porsche.
You get:
Litronic Shim (if applicable)
Four 1 mm Shims
Two 2 mm Shims
Two 3 mm Shims

You can purchase more shims as needed. The rule of thumb is that 7mm will get you an extra 1 degree of camber, give or take. The widened track you get with the shims is a nice benefit as it will naturally reduce understeer.

Once I installed a Guard Club LSD, voila, car tracked solid as an arrow under braking. Matt set mine up with a 60 lb preload IIRC. With a moderate preload in the LSD, the rear wheels are effectively "tied" together and really stabilize the car as the back end unloads during hard braking. If you have an open diff, there is nothing to tie the back wheel together as they are basically freewheeling. The "wiggle" is generally also a way to tell if your LSD is getting worn out, your car becomes unstable under braking. Most GT3 guys run into this problem after only a few track days with the stock Porsche LSD as it is set up with a preload of only about 7 lbs and quickly wears out. It still locks under acceleration but is useless under braking. What type of diff are you running on your car btw?
thank you John. I want to get an LSD now with the info you provided.

if you want the front to turn in better, you need an alignment that is aggressive with toe. I like a very sharp initial turn in. You need some down force up front or toe out up front. The turn in on my car is deadly scary for those whom dont know what they are getting into... but i love that fast reaction seems like you will too.
