I did a 5.35 60-130 with my last setup and it did 5.5s back to back.
That's quicker then a base Veyron but not the super sport version.
Chances are I'm not gonna run across one on the interstate lol.

just remember that the axle is the mechanical fuse. if you beef it up then the stress will go to the next weakest link most likely the trans mainshaft. beef the trans with the proper metal before jacking up the axles to 1000 hp status
look at the threads that tim and the others have posted. they run the driveshaft shop axles and have busted the trans during the power builds. power always searches for the weak link and exposes it at the first chance it gets!

I should be around 900 crank. I intentionally targeted that hp range. I opted
for weight savings to create relative power. The relative power of the car
will be a hair over 1000 hp but the physical stress will be around 900 crank.
There's gotta be a better solution than all or nothing Steve! The factory
axle's gonna go with a hard launch. I need to find out if the cms side billet
plate and 997 gt2 drive shaft will handle the pressure. My guess is, it will.
1st, 2nd and 3rd gt2 gears lined up against the stock gears were a huge
difference and the drive shaft is the strongest Porsche has ever made for
a street vehicle. and it is expensive lol

I'm running the 997 gt2 main shaft. It's 50% stronger than the 996 turbo.

900 hp......??? What do you think?
I wanna get a 9 second 1/4 mile but after that, I'm not gonna be dropping
the clutch. I've rolled my window down at many a red light and told the
guy, " let's hit it from a 30 roll." Our cars are inherently road race vehicles
they're not drag race vehicles. However, I do see the 997.1 hitting the 8s
in the very near future

roll races are for those that either cant drive a stick at the track or are afraid of breaking parts. doesnt matter what model porsche parts break. remember pintos werent made for drag racing but they do quite well when built right!
check into the magnus racing slave assit . i sent you the info. no worries after that
#23
Let me know when, maybe I can make it up there.

build it strong build it right and the porsche will drag with the best of them.

That your correct. The Slave assist is going in my car mid week and he will have a complete prefaced kit for the Porsche.
Going to save a lot of Axels and a lot of tranys

Thanks! I'll post up more pics when Fred finishes. He's a real
artist and I'm very fortunate to have him doing the work. I've learned
a lot about the cars through him and I've had the pleasure of assisting
him a couple times. We wired up all the sensors for the ProEfi and he's
so damn meticulous! He built a bracket for the fuel lab fpr and positioned it
so he could have easy access. He tapped the IPD plenum for the boost
sensor and mounted the solenoid. There's nothing just hanging loose. He
hasn't tried to make things fit out of convenience and he doesn't "short cut"
anything.

an extended period lol! Half this car is custom and that stuff takes time
Jason from ProEfi suggested a young man who tuned some record breaking
cars including Powells car. Fred spoke with him and suggested that I just
let him tune the car. I guess Fred will be tuning and we'll consult with
Jason at ProEfi. Fred feels confident he can do it and according to Jason,
the base tune puts you 80% there.

I'll know by the end of the week. Rick and I have some work to knock out
but we can go beat up on the Italian boys with the Shelby in the evening.
I'll fly you up on business bro no worries. I've had that Shelby sideways
coming off 15 at the Sahara blvd exit! That car is so easy to drive and
you can jam gears without breaking anything.

lol it's a highly overrated word. It means, expensive and timely!
We're hoping to be in the mid 4s 60-130 maybe high 4s. And with
the traction control / staged boost, 9.9s 1/4 mile or at least see a flat
10. I think the 3.8 liter is gonna come in handy with the low and mid
range torque. Theoretically able to run a little less boost off the line
and maybe a more controlled power delivery.
I'm guessing there's not a lot of ProEfi, E85 with tial 3073s running around.
It sure sounds good on paper but the tale of the tape with be the pbox and
the drag strip!
