Protomotive 3" exhaust
#16
It is super quiet in the cab but puts a fair bit of sound out the back, you notice that when driving next to a wall or in a tunnel. The sound is higher pitched with a more exotic tone. I think this is hands down the best P car exhaust I have heard. Like the other poster said, Quiet yet aggressive sounding when opened up.
ZERO DRONE too!

Are the mufflers right off the turbos, because I do not see them were they usually are?
Where the overlap "x" is do they merge at all or have a window to mix the sound of the two banks?
Sorry for all the questions, but this system looks the best for flow and if it has no drone it should be a GREAT exhaust.
The only question would be the sound, hence the question if they merge for that nice exotic sound.
If it has all the above, this exhaust has solved all the years of issues of high flow, or terrible sound and drone that larger diameter systems have.

Is there a reason why you didn't use this design instead of the full "X" that you use now. Especially if according to these reports that this exhaust is all that is being reported.

I am glad that members finally paid attention to this exhaust.. I have brought it up numerous times in the past few years after seeing down by Todd..
Great flow characteristics but as I said before, aggressive when you get into it,, if I wasn't a daily hard driver in the city I would have one...

I would like to know as well, as it seamed to sound / pull like it is making some serious power!

I have my reasons.. most are personal preference... I've had various set ups.. made them, played with them, etc...

I found nothing wrong with Marks exhaust on my car. You have to give up a little to gain a little
#28
I don't but you can hear mine and tell me if you hear drone.

also using markski exhaust. Custom 3" 6 (straight thru type) proprietary mufflers, cat-less. drone more than stock (but manageable by regulating RPM bands), and significantly less than it was on a AP's (non-X, 100cell, baffled)exhaust and the sound is awesome.

After I studies all types of exhaust systems for my 911, it was between th 3"X Speedtech and Mark's set up. I was looking for a Pre owned unit and between the two it just so happened that a Speedtech exactly how I wanted was available first.
I love his customer service and his exhaust systems and already heard it on your car when AUTOWERKS was bring your car in and it sounded mean! I just wanted to know that if he tried the other set up out before and i is all that everyone is saying that it is, why didnt he go fir that set up. Unless there is a reason or something he found out during testing and that us what I would like to know.
