What do you think about BF Goodrich g-Force Rival tires?
Price from Tire Rack $1108 for 245/40/18 fronts and 315/30/18 rears. Looking for a inexpensive set for driving around town, no canyon runs, etc.
Anyone run these tires for street only?

Not sure I can post this since they are not a vendor, but...

I'd take Pirelli's or Michelin's over BF's.

I think you'll find a lot of compounds and technology shared between the two brands.
I wouldn't be suprised if the Rival isn't simply Pilot Super Sport compound poured into the Rival tread pattern.
The Pilot Super Sport should definitely be classified as an Extreme Performance Summer tire, but it doesn't fit the brand profile.
Their BFG brand allows them to position a tire in the Extreme Performance Summer category. They can also worry less about noise and wear in that category.
Just my 2 cents,
Steve

Have used Pirelli's in the past with mixed results on different cars. Did not like them at all on the P car.
Michelin's a great tire, but not the price for getting groceries.
For $1100 the BFG's sound good.

Keep in mind that Michelin owns BFG.

And yes, I think Michelin is happy that a tire in their "family" happens to be in the Extreme Performance category!

I love those tires! I had the BFG g-force sport before and now I have their 2nd gen sport tire. Grip in the dry is awesome and the wet traction has since improved as well. I thought 285 was the biggest size you could get though?
Unlike the Hankook V12s, the sidewall is stiff and doesn't flex.
