LED Tail Lights - Status Update

curiously.. this "vendor" also mentioned a similar price point as you had. wonder if there is an attempt to undercut your effort or perhaps someone else now recognizes a very real demand, owing to your efforts to date.

I sent an email to the factory to a ask if this vendor is dealing with them. The picture he posted is from my post earlier in this thread. If he didn't get it from the factory, he got it from my post - that wouldn't be cool.

i often find many things that seem coincidental are not. agree slider should not only get credit and a comp set of them once made.. but he was also going to test prototype(s). i like the original plan.

Agreed! Something is wacky!

Here is the reply from the factory about the picture in that other post...
Hello Karl,
No we are not aware of this company and we will find out how did they got this photo. Thank you.

Interesting, to say the least!

I'm just trying to make sure we don't get scammed by someone jumping in using fake info to make it look like they have a product when they don't. We'll see if they can produce independent pictures of the LEDs when the time comes for delivery...

I hope someone is testing a prototype on an actual car. Many LED lights will cause a "code" to be thrown in they're not designed properly from an electronic point of view. Had this problem with a Jeep and LED headlights and had to go back to stock. My Porsche indie garage says they often see LED code throwing often when aftermarket LED's are installed on P Cars.

agree. to say nothing of the fact the mockup looks a bit i dunno "cheesy" but waiting for a finished product will really tell the tale. i see this as just one more reason having slider check them out before 200+/- ppl ante up for an untried product makes sense. still.
