You send Eurodyne-Tapp your base tuned file that is already on your car and they tweak it and send it back in Eurodyne Maestro format..... you load that to your ECU and then can read that, datalog it, map trace it and then if need be, modify that file.......... You can add injector size changes, psi pump changes, fueling maps at WOT, part load, idle etc etc plus a host of other things.

I asked Eurodyne about a Porsche E85 map and they said no, but once I get my car back I intend doing some offline stuff for E85 tuning for my car as it now has the fuel system for as such..... then taking it slowly to dial it in (doubt if my clutch will hold that extra power anyway). There are some VW guys who will help when you post to their website........ really great basic and more detailed info is out there !

The Eurodyne Maestro product is great even if you just wnat their basic flash of your existing mods... but YOU WILL have to put time and effort in if you want to take it further... for $1500 it is a bargain IMHO

There is a tonne of information in the VW and Audi world for Eurodyne so read up on their websites... really great info and has given me an idea of how to do the E85 mapping very safely, fueling maps, ignition timing, race maps, IC scaling... I have been reading the stuff for the last week, literally hundreds of pages

Can Maestro produce tunes that are smog compliant? That is can it disable the secondary cat efficiency checks while leaving all the other readiness signals compliant?

There is something on the first post about emissions, not sure if it will deal with the readiness codes though.

Eurodyne Flash

Eurodyne Flash software package once loaded onto your computer provides the interface that allows the user to:

- flash and reflash the ECU (base file closely matched to your requirements will be provided)
- retrieve and clear fault code
- view measuring blocks
- start logging function
- initiates Powertap Firmware updates
- launch quick tune (some applications)
- activate 2 step (some applications)
- turn emission diagnostics on and off (to be used for off road applications)
- read ECU identification information
- free firmware upgrades as features are added

Thanks for the info sounds like exactly what I want to be able to do. Who's the main guy to talk to at Eurodyne? Are they pretty responsive?

We had some fun earlier this year but we really wanted to continue to show off how well the Eurodyne performs in all conditions. We could be racing, dropping a two-step (LOL) or just going for a sunday drive.

The car drives just like it rolled off the showroom floor and will 1000hp!

I too am interested in this system. I've got an unknown tune on my car now with larger injectors and an EBC I'm not using - I'm on W/G boost of .9BAR with similarly unknown turbos that perform well.

I'm interested in possibly going MAFless. It seems my current tune can be pulled and "converted" but what's the process to go full speed density? I've got plenty of tuning experience on the older AEM platform but would have to knock the rust off. What's the process for making tuning changes - log, mod, flash? Or can any sort of realtime change occur? Datalogging and real-time changes are big advantages of stand-alone but the ability to pass OBD emissions and not have a science project are big draws too. This system seems pretty popular in the VW/Audi community, where are the Porsche guys gathering to swap information? Dropping my MAF, deleting the miles of intake piping, and upgrading my intercoolers is probably all I want for awhile but I'm also a data junky too. Looking for a way forward and more information :-)

With the Eurodyne it would be: log, modify and flash

This system is a great option to what is out in the market now and a fraction of the price. It will give you loads of data and we find that for most of our customers - this is a perfect option. From a 600HP to a 1200HP car.

Question: What's the process to move to Speed Density? Start with some form of basemap and retune or can something be done with an existing tune?

Speed based or gear based boost? PSM remains intact? Can PSM be tweaked in any way?

Any support forum or dedicated support mechanism for Porsche users? I think most of what I've found has been VW/Audi thus far.

For speed density you would unplug the MAF and then upload a SD file that can be supplied.

Boost is controlled with the factory valve and is RPM vs. load

The PSM stays in as is and cannot be modified.

As far as we know the Eurodyne forum is still the best place for sharing information.
