British Member checks in
Hi 6speeders,
I've been lurking the board for many months and thought it was suitable to sign up, then the long and daunting wait to be accepted begun.
Well, I'm located in the Isle of Man and the old man has a Cobalt Blue Turbo S over Metropole Blue interior and it's manual, along with a Silver/Metropole Blue 993 C4 Coupe (that has also been chipped by DMS) are among the several cars that we own.
We took delivery of the Turbo S in early February, after pondering about the purchase for many months/years, then waiting a further agonising six months till delivery from putting the deposit down....later getting it chipped by a British firm DMS automotive who features and advertises a plenty in EVO magazine.
In theory the car should be pulling the low 500hp bracket, this I can believe due to the seat-in-the pants experience this car gives, but it's not much compared to what some of you folks have done.
Abit about myself, I'm turning nineteen in September and I drive a '94 E36 325 coupe, I enjoy and attend the regular trackday and 1/4 mile events that are held over here and use the 325 for both daily driving and the trackday work.
I'm active on Stuttgart9s which is a UK based Porsche fanatic and owners forum and I also moderate rs6.com and m3forum.com on a daily basis.
Here you find some pictures of the Turbo S, courtecy of rs6.com
Many user names and the likes ring a bell from the m5board, m3forum, Ferrarichat, rs6.com and the likes.
Thanks!

Thanks for the welcome, Colin.
We have a day called "Mad Sunday" which is the midpoint of the two week motorbike fest where the mountain road goes one way.

IoM? Isn't that the place the English describe as "100,000 drunks clinging to a rock"? Welcome aboard.....
Which end of the Island are you on?
I've visited there a couple of times, I was there on the weekend when the antique bikes run? It was an absolute blast!
I'd love to run a TT around the back end there, I can't recall the name of the place but it's a long section of wigglies on the more uninhabited side of the Island....

I'm located on the East coast.
I think you mean the road/track between St.Johns and Kirk Michael, either that or your speaking of the Mountain Road. Both sides of the course are great fun on a bike or in a car.

Yeah, most of the Island re-mains de-restricted in regards to speedlimits.
It's not the kind of de-restricted like some autobahns are, these are challenging twisty roads that don't have any speedlimits.
