The worst kind of ebayer

The seller cancelled the auction right at the very end of a no - resrve auction on the TT cab I was bidding on b/c he did not want to sell it at this price - I was not aware that bids can be cancelled at the last minute like this!

Anyway if you do not want to sell it for less than you want to recieve add a buy it now feature or put a reserve on it darn it -

Just biat and switch bull**** - Here is the auction and spread the word not to bid on this joker's auctions

PS- I even spoke with the seller on the phone today and said that I was the bidder "6speedonline" and since it is a no reserve auction you will sell it even if it is under msrp? The seller said yes - *******

It seems as though he is a dealer (or perhaps used car dealer)?

If so, perhaps there are a few laws in his state regarding bait and switch advertising, regardless of Ebay "rules".

Do you know who the seller is and how it is he can arrange financing?

You can do one of two things!

1. Call eBay and complain since what he did violates their rules and he will get a warning. Three warnings and he's gone. Or,

2. Make a few fake names and bid high on all his listings and then never answer emails. Let him relist and have to file for credit on non-paying bidder lisitngs. I used to sell cars on ebay for fun and can tell you it's a pain in the ***, but, he deserves it!

He is a New Chevy dealer!

What BS!!

Sorry you got screwed over. There should be something we could do about things like this

I was bidding on a nice 996 last week and kept getting overbid by someone. Towards the end of the auction, the seller added some additional pictures linked from his web server. I tracked back to see if there were any additional pictures that I could view to find that the server was configured poorly, and had directory listing enabled. Was I suprised when I found another business website hosted on his server that had the same name as the ebay user that kept one-upping my bid. I didn't win the auction, and now he is contacting me saying the buyer backed out and I can have the car for his winning bid price. I really liked the car, but no thanks.

Sucks that this happened but this is VERY VERY common when buying cars on ebay. The seller can cancel the auction anytime he wants. I've had a few auctions when i'm the highest bidder and the guy cancels it and sells it private party to someone who emailed him offering him more then my bid. I was pissed but Ebay said it's allowed for them to close the auction when they want.

Same thing happened right now

I was bidding on this 2001 Turbo, and the seller cancelled the auction with 10 seconds left. Total bull!!!

I've seen this happen before, remember that there are many dubious 'deals' on high demand cars listed with ebay. Terms are in small print and can vary greatly. I've attempted to buy a Ducati on ebay and was burned with the same kind of late cancellation of the auction.

The 'multiple bidders' (really same person) problem is a major weakness in a remote auction situation. People are using their wives/kids cc numbers to create unique IDs, using same billing address to bid against their own listings. Ebay needs to step up their DB software apps. to catch these crooked sellers.

That yellow TT cab was nice too.

One of the big problems with eBay motors is that you can't leave feedback unless you actually buy an item through eBay. Even if you buy an item you found on eBay (say you buy it offline), you can't leave feedback. So, these kinds of turkey's end up with relatively high feedback ratings even though they definitely do NOT deserve it.

Just my $0.02.

Yep, that's a huge problem...notice that these guys who are pulling auctions all have good feedback.
