iTunes in a 996 TT?
What is the best way to adapt an iPhone for iTune use (or Pandora) in a CD player 996 TT? The first thought is to replace the entire stereo with a Sirius capable unit that also works with an iPhone, but maybe there is a better, easy, cheaper way? Thanks, John

Belkin makes something similar as well.

As others have said, if you have the CDR-220 ( 99-2002 I believe) cable adapter that plugs into the CD changer port in the back of the radio and enabling the changer function for a direct plug in of your ipod or iphone.
Double check on compatibility with new lightning charging system since Apple has changed their software/hardware compatibility with the lightning adapter and IOS7 making accessories not compatible. I have an aftermarket lightning adapter that worked fine before IOS7 upgrade and now the message of not-compatible is popping up on the device.
If you have the CDR-220 , I have a cable , brand new never used made for the old ipod/iphone plug sitting in my box of parts. Pay for shipping and its yours.. Just noticed you are in newport beach, I will be in SoCal all next week and could meet in south oc if you want it

Eric at bumperplugs.com sells the dension and also provides great customer support. The Dension is an interface for 2003-2005 which adapts onto the fiber optic bus and allows for an auxiliary input and a direct connect for an ipod. You can control the ipod through the head unit, but the commands are a bit confusing. But you also have the auxiliary input for a 3.5mm jack to plug directly into an Iproduct and have it in the cabin inside your car.
