305 on 12 inch rim? Toyo R888, 19inch
#16
I'm running Michelin Pilot Super Sports
I think the car rides better on 19's with the 35/30 series combo, as opposed to the 25/30 series combo. The added sidewall seems to provide a slightly better ride.

19x12 with 305/30/19 is OEM fitment on 997.1 GT3
My Street set up:
19x9 and 19x12 with 235/35 and 305/30/19s
My Track set up:
18x9 and 19x12 with 245/40 and 305/35/18s
Car is 1/2" below GT2 spec. No rubbing with either set using GT2 front/rear fender liners. 18s will perform better.

Hi Guys
I am also quite interested in this topic. I have a set of wheels that measure 9,5 from outer edge to edge, and the rears are 13 inches from outer edge to edge.
I've been told by a reputable wheel shop that the correct way to measure a wheel is actually from the inner edge of the wheel where the tyre seals on, to the opposite inner edge.
When measured that way my wheels are one inch narrower both front and rear.
So now I am unsure of what tyres to run too...If I understand correctly, a wheel which measures 13 inches wide is what is commonly known as 12j, actually requires a 315/25/19 size tyre for correct fitment?
And the fronts would then need a 255/30/19 to be able to have the fronts and rears turning at very similar speeds. (0.7 mph difference)

its not softer in the winter season, the compounds become harder.
btw, i would look into an alignment maybe.... you said you have no traction from 1-3rd...that shouldnt be happening...
slap some winter tires on your car, you will be surprised at how much grip they give you.
rubber compounds on winter tires become soft at 44 degrees and under.

I have 600whp and 640 wtq. I am thinking in this cold weather (30-40 degrees), no traction with that power its not surprising. And 1-2 has no traction, in 3rd it gains some. I had an alignment done about a month ago for the street.
I am def pondering the snow tires but I don't know if I want to put cash out for something I am barely going to use cause I will barely drive in winter.

you really shouldnt drive on r888 in a northern winter climate. heres the pdf on r888 tire care. notice the temp range

Be careful running R comps in the winter. Race rubber shrinks in the cold, which could cause cracking on the sidewall and or on the tread. Race tires need heat to get traction. Operating temps are in the 180-200 degree range. It's hard enough to get heat in a tire on the street during the warmer months much less in the colder northern climate.

Same tires and sizes here, much better than previous 315/25/19 and 235/35/19 Continentals.

i posted this on the wheel thread. these are my 12" champion ms61 wheels. 19x12.
tire is a toyo r888.305 30 19 i would not put this tire on my car again. next season i will put my big boy pants and step up to michelin cups. the toyo's are unacceptably noisy.
how loud are they ? i thought my wheel bearings were shot... notice they dont stretch on a 12" wheel. the sidewalls are very stiff.

btw 305 30 19 is oem fitment on a gt3 with CUP tires. a std 305 michelin pss is about half an inch narrower than a michelin cup...
for anyone that still believes that their awd works and wants a piece of mind, you should be running a 305 30 19 with a 245 35 front.
i'll get pics for you guys this weekend so you can see how a michelin cup 305 looks side by side with a 305 supersport.

Thanks! Maybe I will stick to the Michelin Super Sports then. My friend highly recommends them.
