305 on 12 inch rim? Toyo R888, 19inch

I am looking for stickier tires for the rear end.

Here is my setup.

19x8 19x12

235/35/19 315/25/19

I am still AWD so I am worried about the tires being within spec sizes so it doesnt cause problems.

I am looking at the Toyo R888's. There are two options in them in 19 for the rear rim which is the 305 or the 325 (30's). So basically I am worried about fitment. I am lowered with the current setup. I am also going to run different tires up front, not r888's.

Do toyo's run wide or narrow? Anyone running a 305 on a 12 inch wide wheel?

I'm running Michelin Pilot Super Sports.

245/35/19 F
305/30/19 R

Rolling diameter is within spec for AWD, my car is lowered. Popular tire choice for 19's as of late. More sidewall than my previous Nitto Invo setup, which had 25 series in the rear and 30 in the front.

I think your fronts need to be 30 not 35 . Rears are ok

How wide are you rims in the rear?

I am trying to see if the Toyo R888 in 305 would fit the 12 inch width.

From my research it seems the toyo r888 is a wide tire and the 305 is more like a 315 fitment.

No problems rubbing lowered? You on a 8.5/12 setup? I was going to do the PSS's with a 225/40 front instead as it was supposed to be closer to spec and give a bit more room for clearance as the PSS tends to have a pretty chunky sidewall.

They will be better than the pilot sports though i would think because of the softer compound.

No

19 x 9 in the front, ET 51 (I believe)
19 x 12 in the rear, ET45

Very slight rubbing on first drive in the rear, no longer an issue, adjusted the rear liners a tad.

No issues doing u-turns at low speed, I'm may get some rubbing in the front if I turn the wheel all the way to the left or right, have never really noticed under normal driving conditions, don't do a lot of 3 point turns in tight quarters or anything like that.

I'm happy with this setup.

Sorry, you posted something then he posted something.

My answer applied to both questions, I replied to his, as it was the last one I read. Sorry to confuse. Everyone can see the entire thread.

So you are also running a 305/30 on a 12 wide r888?
