My next track car?

I have a ls3 bored and stroked to a 416 with a wet sump, older ls1 oil pan though. Been running it for 6 years. Haven't even opened a valve cover. Car also has full aero. Ls7s are good at dropping valves among other issues. Would never own one

Not many cars are up to the task of being driven at the track yet alone raced on a roadcourse in stock form, mine has a forged LS2 434ci with a ARE dry sump. I went with mild compression, mid range torque cam. Makes 510 at the wheels on pump gas and it's been very reliable and fast, that said I'm in hardware over 60k not including the cost of the car. I definitely
drive the car hard the LS6 in the car before was bomb proof, took it out of the car with 110,000 miles after tracking the crap out of it still running great. It is getting refreshed and installed in my sons 951.

Good stuff. Keep it coming! Mine would have looked like that had it not kept blowing up.
Park, you missed out on some easy picking for a national championship with NASA this year. Maybe even a battle with the raceco gtr fornthe overall win. I'm trying to do both east and west championships next year in TT1.

My year started off awesome. I matched my lap record at Road Atlanta from December in March on A6's that had 15 HC on them, they almost sent me off track on the first lap. Then got greedy and tried some aero changes and high spring rates that haven't worked out for me like I thought. Won with NARRA a couple of times and a couple of other NASA TT's but that's about it. TT1 in the SE has dwindled a bit, leads to me passing up some events.
Super excited about east nationals at the home track. Gotta get back on my game at the home track though, driver and car!
I hope you guys make it over here. With MTI Racing's Corvette beasts, Kyle won't be short of competition at all. I'm sure this event will draw the midwest guys too, and they are FAST (TT1,2 and 3). ST1 should be good to.
I'm interested in seeing if one guy who runs TT1 in C6Z, claims 6.25 ratio (slicks), yet puts 2 buses and some change on me on the straight, will try at nationals where there is a dyno.

So this is a bit confusing. I should buy a Z06 (C5 or C6) and then swap out the motor for a built one from an earlier car? This sounds like a bit much. When I was racing down here (Florida) there was one guy who had a C5 Z06 and I don't think that car ever finished a race. I looked at Vette's for a long time but I got scared away due to motor issues.
I tracked a C5 Z06 back when they were sold and the tranny overheated, then the diff so we had to park it after just a few laps. That's why I was asking. Again, I don't want a headache and I could never find the "right" Vette to track.
This is an expensive addiction! Maybe I should have taken up krockodile!
