I hear you 100%

I ran a 5.87 60-130 with 550 hp, 5.35 60-130 with 650 and 4.65 60-130
with 800 hp.

And the Evoms record breaking 911 turbo......is barely streetable. According to
Evoms, they put a temporary tag on it and drive it to a cars and coffee event
every now and then. It is not really a street car.

Chris Green ( USP Motorsport) is within a few ticks of beating their record with
a TRUE daily drivable 996 GT2 turbo. Chris, by the way, is a standup guy and
he post legitimate data.

Sad to say but there are those that drink the packaged cool aid and then spread it like its gospel with out credence.
And then there are the ones in the Real know that actually have done things and proven the gains or losses in which they post it AND still get beaten up by the above type..
Its all part of the forums,, we all give input regardless to help each other, and hopefully we learn from it..

In the end though, I believe it's ultimately the buyer's responsibility to make sure he's getting his money's worth, and that's done through research and finding out from people who have already done business with a particular vendor. I'm not making excuses for that type of behavior by sellers, but it's simply easier to watch your own back rather than trust a company at face value.
I agree, nothing takes the place of personal responsibility. I'm just saying
we need to hold them accountable. Holding vendors accountable on 6speed
isn't gonna happen but I don't mind stirring the pot.

Very good points John. And there are several honest vendors out there.

It's usually the vendor that never contributes but pops up when he's got
a new bag of **** to peddle.

I do believe in calling out the *** wipes. I'm sure it will end with me being
banned one day. Oh well, I've been kicked out of classier joints than this.

correct!!
i learned the lesson when i discovered that the gt700 kit from evom is far from 700 hp claimed! in fact we did around 600 @ 1.5 bar on dynapack (the most generous dyno out there)
the ``tuner`` and seller of the kit said i was making near 750 hp at the crank!

Have you been on the AMS website recently?

Evoms could take lessons from these upstanding gentlemen.

they say: 800 hp Capable with supporting modifications! that make sense with 100 shot nos kit
seriously the a28 would barely do it (700whp mustang dyno)with every suported mod +race fuel and they flow more vs the billet

I agree! And the physics agree lol.

My a28 setup made 650 whp on ms109 and I had every supporting mod
known to man. My car ran a 5.35 60-130. They ran a 5.32 on their
997 a28 and claimed 900 hp lol.

I know a couple guys who actually hit 700 hp with 3.8 conversions. At the
time I was still 3.6

652 RWD. That equates to about 745 crank.

With 3.8 liter and the right supporting mods you can hit 700 whp but that
is squeezing those puppies for all they're worth.

How is it physically possible to get 800 hp on a k16 turbo? The answer is
you can't.

lol maybe, Nik!

I mean you build some fast Jap cars and that gives you a license to waltz
on to a German forum and insult the intelligence of everyone on here.
Many of the vendors are part of the community here. Sure, a lot of them
do a little stretching the truth here and there.... so what! These guys are
not part of this community. And they only show up when they wanna sell
us a bill of goods. " unlike the other guys we do real R & D" " We use a
vortex nuclear infusion technology to feed the turbos and our intercoolers
are platinum ceramic alloy that keeps intake temperature below freezing."

I'm just saying, if you can make 900 hp with a28s and 800 hp with
16 billets, you and me and a lot of other guys are just plain morons
and we've just been missing the boat all together. We should all be
horsewhipped for spending tens of thousands of dollars to get to those
levels when we could have bought their alpha, beta, delta omega 1000
package .......and we don't even need to build our engines. What the
**** were we thinkin Nik?
