I've driven a few of the replicas. The Beck definately has the best fit and finish among the replica-builders out there. It's a handful to drive fast just like the real one (or so I've heard), don't expect it to handle or behave anything like a 996 Turbo, they are very very twitchy. But, if you're looking for something relatively quick and lots of fun on a nice day, then you can't go wrong with the 550 Spyder replica.
Now, not to thread-jack but Chuck Beck has a 904 replica pretty much almost ready for production and from what I've heard it's also a total blast to drive...

now that 904 is sexy. imagine seeing one driving down the road... I mean your rolling along in a gt3 or 2 or TT thinkin your pretty cool and then you see a 904 ( even a replica) cruising along.... that would be humbling i think. Thats a must have.
