Hi folks, I purchased a new throttle body from an authorized Bosch dealer, all the right part numbers etc. Bosch 0280750007 and Porsche 986 605 115 01

Problem when I fit to the car the ECU doesn't recognize it, I get an error and it actually doesn't respond to the throttle. Sits closed and also will not go through the normal calibration clicking and whirring, all connected 100%.

I have reset the ECU and no difference.

Put the old one back on and all fine.

Is there something I am missing regarding fitting and resetting?

p.s fitted it as I was chasing a slight stumble at low revs

 

new TB is no good. If it was dropped it can damage the contacts inside.

 

i have a couple throttle bodies, let me know if you need one
