Some Porsche owners think the turbo engine is the same or even similar to the non-turbo motor, this simply couldn't be farther from the truth. They may both be flat 6 and in a Porsche, but the similarities stop there.

I know T2... saw him at Porschefest in Boston last September and he had 374K miles. Car was in amazing shape... his original clutch went at 360K... can you believe that?

The torque etc. with the TT makes it a wonderful car. Now I have a 991S X51 Cab as well so best of both worlds.

I was wondering about a similar car. 2002 turbo tip with an S badge. Didn't appear that the S existed in 02 so I was assuming X50 unless the simply stuck the badge on to make it look faster. Other than the option sticker is it easy to tell X50?

yeah, just run your hand inside and feel the ic's and if they feel like cheese graters you're in x50 business.

my story is only less embarrasing by having at least had a 6mt on my 02. i talked myself into badging it by telling myself the x50 was the "S" in europe

it looked incredible the "S" on the decklid and it reminded me daily and harkened back to my next door neighbor's 67 911' S of my youth which was iconic.. until i awoke from the dream and removed it in shame lol. i now say just say no to false badging. there's tacky white badged gt2 up here, and i'ma gonna call him out.. just as soon as i catch him

Beyond X-50 and inter coolers, the S had PCCB gen 2 brakes, instrument and console logos, and Bose.
