ok i can't hold out any longer. As i do not agree with some of the transplants out there, i work closely with the LS1/LS2 developement and it really is a phenomenal engine for a pushrod mtr. As for slow rev low RPM motor our shop car just set a world record with a 352 cubic inch LS1 motor running 205mph with a 6.86 et and it only revs to 9200 rpm....not to bad! I also would not consider a porsche- LS1 swap but to all you sedan fans next years project should make you cheer or cringe; all i'll say is the 1100 hp LS1 is ready to drop in the amply sized engine compartment!!...what a sleeper!

Still wouldn't want it! Would be nice to have in a Escalade, or a GM SUV. Sadly America doesn't make one appealing seadan except the SRT-8 300C.

With a conversion like that you do move the weight higher which is detrimental to the handling.
