Morgie-
Got your e-mail, will respond shortly. I have been swamped on dealing with the details of the move....I also have a 4-post lift (the only one that safely fits the lambo because it is sooo wide). If you are interested in the Millenium Roadster I will even throw in the lift for you as well because I can't take that with me on the move.

e-mail me at wtmacr@hotmail.com

Thanks.

I would go for a 575M. I've heard nothing but great things about them ... if I had the money, one would be at the top of my list.

my car is not exciting anymore and is one of many, many standard TTs. ,
Why not go for a GT800 that would make it exciting again!

I know no one has brought this up, but how about a Bentley CGT? I own a high-end auto detailing company in Southern California. I've noticed 360s are become common down here and I'd imagine up there soon. I'm not too impressed with the 360. It is an entry-level ferrari and I think it lacks the passion. Although, the note with a tubi exhaust is like nothing else. If I had the money and was in your position, I would give the Bentley some serious thought. Otherwise, keep the Porsche and wait for the 997 TT. 80% of my clientele are Porsche guys. The ones that switched to a Ferrari ended up regreting it. It's like having a supermodel as your girlfriend. Great eye candy for you and your buddies, but at the end of the day, high maintanance. That's my 2 cents

Update on my new car decision

I wanted to update everyone on my decision following the lease return of my 2002 996 TT after 3 years and 20,000 miles.

Two weeks ago, I bought a 2006 F430 F1 black/black with power daytona seats, carbon fiber inserts in dash, shields, yellow calipers, yellow tachometer, dark grey deviating stitching, leather headliner, leather rear shelf, battery charger prewiring, and navigation (got it for free due to overstock at Ferrari).

Although I have only driven it a short while and am still in the break-in period, this car is really a special driving experience--the sound, the finish, the body shape---no regrets whatsoever.

I did pay MSRP++, but there will be limited coupe production (due to spiders and challenge cars) and I expect my car to sell for MSRP++ for quite a while. In fact, my coupe is the last coupe delivered to my dealership for the next 5 months.

Can't comment about aggressive driving vs. the TT just yet.

Morgie,
Congrats on the F430!!
Similar situation here, my TT(GT640)
lease runs out in a month.
I really want to keep the TT it is so fast I don't think I can find another car with automatic or F1 tranny to replace it (save the Enzo). However, I had a lot of issues with this car , I went through 2 ECUs and now the Check Engine light lit up again. Besides, I have to drive the CLS to take my daughter to school everyday because she refuses to sit it the TT.
The F430 is definitely more appealing lookwise but I don't think it can quite match the GT640 in terms of straight line acceleration. Wish I can have both but garage space is limited.
Tough decision indeed.

Ford GT

Why don't you check out the Ford GT now that they are down to MSRP?

Do you have to remove the modifications before you return the leased car? If so, you should keep it and buy the Ford GT. The cost of your lease buyout and the Ford GT will equal the cost of the F430 coupe.

I will either keep the TT or replace it with something else. Can't have both because of limited garage space.

Congrads on the purchase of the 430. My friend here on Long Island NY has a six speed yellow 430 and I drove it and was VERY impressed. That thing is as fast as a stock TT and looks like sex on wheels!! Good move..

Morgie congrats man, you honestly made the right move! TT is a great car, even at 700 hp but still the feel of a Ferrari, especially a new damm F430 is hard to compare
