Mobil 1 5W50 synthetic oil

I purchased a 02 996 TT and will be picking it up late June in Arizona . I has a fresh oil change with Motul oil but after reading your postings regarding engine oil I am considering using Mobil 1 5W50 . I will be driving about 5000 miles before getting home to Nova Scotia so on route I will have an oil service done (will have oil change parts and oil with me in case unavailable when needed).
When checking for Mobil 1 I found at least 3 listed at different prices on Amazon-Mobil 1 ; Mobil 1 Rally formula; and Mobil 1 Peak Life. Are they the same? Which are you using?
Thanks and as a side this 6Speed was/is a wealth of information for me when researching my purchase and will continue its value when service /maintenance needs arise.

why change the oil on route?

highway cruising isnt particularly hard on oil and that mileage is still fine for 1 interval.

+1 ^^^

I change my oil once a year and i do about 8000km a year on my car. The oil is technically good for 15k, more if you listen to Mobile 1. No need to do a change half way home, just pick it up and enjoy the drive. (disclaimer: i'm talking Canadian kilometers eh)

Mobil only makes one 5w50 formula but it's packaged as either Mobil 1, Rally, or Peak Life, depending on regions. All the same stuff though. I run the 5w50 as it's a good choice for cars that see high temps as in a track environment for example. For street driven cars in cooler climates, 5w40TDT may be a better choice due to it's higher additives..
