You have to just laugh at stuff like that. I love it when I see exotics on the street and people stop to look or comment and some of the stuff they say is hillarious. "O my mustang could easily take that thing," or they mix up the car up all together, you just gotta smile and laugh.

A Pantera parked on the street. Some guy and his g/f walk by, and he goes nuts "whoaaaa!! A Ferrari Testarossa!!! My favourite car everrrrr!!! That's the best, I love this car so bad, the Testarossa ...". Minutes later, his gf points at the back and says "uh? why does it say DeTomaso Pantera on the back? Didn't you say it's a Ferrari?". Big silence, followed by an obscure mumbling "...errr ..yeah nice car too I guess " ...

I had a Viper owner tell me his then new 2004 RT-10 was putting down 500 HP to the wheels and that it was going to be faster than my "slightly" modified Turbo. This conversation happened over some beers and in front of about 10 other guys, most of which don't really know cars that well. I asked the guy if he had engine management, headers, exhaust, something and it was all nope,nope,nope. At that point I knew what I was dealing with and said it must be cool to have a car that powerful. The sad part is that most people they tell their lies to don't even know any better.
