997.2 IC'S in high boost ! 1.6bar+

hello guys ,did my homework with the search button and didn't find anything concluent ,my issue i think my 997.2 ic's are heat soaking (50c+ in 1/4mile pass in 16c ambient)! have some of you guys tested these .2ic's in high boost condition pass 1.6bar ? looking for iat logs... vs 4.5core or higher?
btw already did a leak test with succes

There is more to it then just IAT at that boost.
We have 2 types of cores. One for high boost and one for high flow. The trick is to have a Ic that does both.

If you're pushing your turbo's outside their envelope, there's no IC to cool that excessive heat away. In other words it would be handy to know what turbos you have...

+1. The .2's are nice but you can do much better. Especially at 1.6!

thx ,i have read the (WOW gt2rs ic's) thread 3 time!now after looking for leaks etc... found passenger side turbo actuator jam in close position =possibly the heat source (turbo spinning like hell)!will test the car tomorrow and update...

I know the GT2RS runs high boost but it's a spike. Guys with the RS's and 997.2 TTS's get great results swapping them out too. The 2868 should be comfy at 1.6 bar. The actuator issue could be really adding to it.

I don't remember who was your tuner and what is the boost supposed to be?

Sam the car has the evoms gt700 kit (1.4,15bar)stock engine and exhaust manifold , added a mbc increasing boost and timing a tad with dadalogger till i reach 1.7bar no knock with meth and tuning software !

so last night fixed the jammed arm and adjusted the 2 actuator preload equally ,
should see a good difference in iat's , if not then i consider bigger 4.5+ic's.
i have book a dyno session friday will update...

That is way too much and you will see a diff. Don't know why I thought I remembered you having GT30s and a different setup. That's why had not thought of the turbos first. On that kit your intercoolers can be bested but will still be pretty good. Get it back to 1.4!

Hope she runs better and safer!

Your at the brink of blowing her up. Lower the the boost to 1.4 bar. Your trying to hit 1.7 bar on a28s on pump and meth ? I do to go past 1.6 and that's on ms109.
I'm sure it's fast but when it pops you will know why.

hey Mark, bunch of guys here push it to 1.6bar on crappy91 all day no prob with meth a ,not telling she can survive 2bar thro!but feel comfy at 1.6...and she run amazing now( no missfire, bug etc...) will dyno friday and push her to 1.8 maybe...

Doesn't matter hows many guys do. I'm telling you what you and they don't know until it pops. I'm serious. That's crazy.

Orbelo a28 stock engine did 700whp DD worst generous dyno at 1.8bar with meth on 91!also switzer has the 911E kit pushing near 900whp stock internal!i see thread with 850whp stock engine doing 10k mile++ no problem, and see thread with 600 hp engine pop because bad tuning etc..!Mark not saying im not on the edge @1.6+ but i think it more about the way you drive it and tuning for sure !

AGREED The samething happened here but that was at 1.6 bars on the same turbos and last year he hit it and bang he still doesnt have the money to build it yet.....
