What would be the minimum size you would recommend for that hp level?

You think there is enough power draw at full power 700+AWHP that the alternator can not produce enough current that it needs to pull from the battery sometimes?

I am asking as I am planning to do a light weight battery and hit that 700+AWHP mark. 30lbs weight savings is not worth my motor, but I want to understand your logic and hopefully facts behind your hypothesis/fact before changing my course of thinking and build.

Thanks

I would keep the stock one, there are better out there but stock one does a good job if you already have it.

I could hear my pumps struggle each time I would put my window up (this is while the car was at idle), after checking the draw it was clear my small battery was not up to the task.

This was my first fueling setup, OEM in tank, sump and 2x044's feeding the rails. If you go bigger, as I later did, it obviously will get worse.

My experience, just passing it along.

A way around that, as many do this, put a on /off switch for the auxiliary pumps if that a concern with start up voltage drop from big pumps.
