I currently have a c6 as well. Next vehicle will be a 996 turbo.
Since you have some experience in the matter, is the power level comparable to the c6? How would you describe the transition going from c6 to 996 TT ? ( I owned a base c2 996 for a year)
My favorite thing to do in the c6 is down shift to 2nd from 45-50mph and just floor it to get the "neck snap" effect. Yes, I'm a child at heart.

Great looking car! Congratulations and welcome to the club.
I don't get it. Why would you want to spend OEM dollars on a piece that just gets banged up anyway?

That's the way I roll lol. I have no current plans to do the Aero kit but its the only mod/change that I have even pondered and I would buy only true OEM= but like the car the way it is for now.

I have to be honest. I paid a friend who is a professional detailer to buff the exterior. I don't know what wax he used to seal it. It needed it badly.

Going from the C6 to the 996 you do lose some features that I miss. Pushbutton start, car automatically locking and unlocking, automatic headlights and heads up display. Overall I'm pretty happy with the 996tt. Can't wait to do some more HP driving in it.

Congratulations on the purchase! It looks like a clean car with some tasteful upgrades . An exhaust and some 1.0 bar wastegate actuators go a long ways towards reducing the lag on the K24 cars. The actuators are great bang for the buck really; the stock ones are quite prone to boost creep due to exhaust manifold backpressure, so installing stiffer ones makes boost much snappier and gives quite a bit of top end power.
