There is just too much going on. I prefer all black with some CF pieces (the more the better) but once you get a dark interior and add a whole bunch of aluminum and then throw in red stitching... Barf-fest! There is a lot of aluminum, center console, door pulls, door lids, instrument surround, dash trim, speaker trim, side vents, luckily it's not a silver nav system. It will be expensive but I can easily change all of that to CF. Is there a way to dye the stitching effectively? I don't want little black lines all over me when I get out of the car either. Might be ok with black/CF and red deviated stitching. Damn damn damn! Come to think of it, all I know about the 997S cab coming in is that it is basalt black. I guess I should check on the interior color on that car too. Might be lime green with deviated purple stitching.

Why are you so opposed to red stiching? With red seatbelts and red calipers to go with the stiching you cant go wrong.

I also just found out that the 997S on the water is perfect in every way. Has the sport exhaust, dimming mirrors, bose high end sound, carbon package, sport shifter, cd changer, mats, hardtop. BUT this particular idiot did not order the sport chrono package! That is probably the most important option to me. It's supposed to really transform the car. Both cars are not ideal.

997S. Sport/Chrono is gimmicky to me. Transform the car? heh heh dealer speak... Put your foot down, that tranforms the car!
With the 997 you won't need to or feel compelled to modify w/new suspension, chip, exhaust, yada yada... (been there, done that)

Most of the guys have been listing that as an absolute must have. I have not even test driven a 997S yet so I have no idea what it does to the car. My understanding is that with one touch, your car goes into sport mode and the E-throttle responds more agressively to inputs (1/4 throttle = 1/2 throttle and 1/2 throttle = WOT etc.), the suspension changes modes, and I don't know what else.

I prefer to let my right foot modulate the throttle, not a sport button. Do you really want a twitchy throttle? Ever driven an E46 M3 with the sport button on?
The PASM suspension already has a sport mode.
