Help!! Where to source the PCCB Zircon Yellow Inserts Piston

Been doing the full PCCB brake service on My GT2 and found one piston with the zircon yellow part broken, there are other two with cracks but seems fine. Anyone on this forum can help on addresing me on where to source the parts other than the dealer and a unit price ball park??

You can buy them from PMNA as part of the caliper rebuild kit which includes the zircon inserts, pistons, and seals. I think the kit is around $800 for a pair. You can also try to call some race shops that may have a laying in a drawer somewhere. I have a couple extras at home but don't recall which size. What you want to do is install the puck retainer sliders so the inserts don't fall out during a pad change. That is how they generally get cracked as they are very fragile.

By the way im using the puck holder (Cup car) to hold the Puck in place so they dont fall, but now the one im refering is broken in two or three pieces. The one that broke are the 28mm ones.. if you happen to have some of these im willing to buy them from you.

I just noticed that there are some Stainless Steel replacement from Racing Brake. Do you know if these are any good??

Anyways if you happen to found one of the 28mm Piston Zircon Holder laying around ur shop (and willing to sell!!) let me know. I would like to have the full set in standby (just in case).

the way to hold them together once they separate from the body is by using the puck holders (common on the cup cars), i have them for sale if you need them. i got them via TRG parts website.

Easy to replace and Install, No need of the backing plates per piston, No problem at all!!

Do you track your car? Just curious if you had experienced any deformation of the brake pad backing plates with these pistons due to their very sharp edge which will literally "bite" into the pad backing plate. There is a tremendous amount of pressure that is concentrated on that sharp edge of the piston with this design which is done to minimize heat transfer to the pad. The titanium cup pistons on the other hand use a flared contact surface (with air gaps) to distribute the load. The reason I ask is that we have deformed the backing plates of pads even with stock calipers when subjected to high heat during long endurance races when the brakes get very hot and the steel backing plates soften as a result. Likely not an issue with street use but curious none the less with this piston design.
