Check your wheel hubs if you track your car boys and girls...

The ducts will be in for you next week...

New hubs finally are taking shape. These are being machined out of 300M which is an extraordinary high strength vacuum arc re-melt steel, the same thing used to make landing gear components for aircraft. Those will provide a tremendous strength improvement over the factory die cast hubs. I addition to making these out of 300M, we were able to slightly increase the radius of the hub at the bearing race. This will further add strength as there will be more "meat" in the failure area. Should have the finished product in about two weeks...

I'm not aware of anyone offering aftermarket hubs.

Yes, the 997 hubs are a direct fit. They may actually be a superseded part number for our cars now. I'd have to check PET. The 300M hubs are $4K for the pair. Price would fall probably in the $2600-$3000 per pair with a larger production run of 3-5 sets. Yes, that still sounds expensive but the amount of carnage that happens when the hub breaks is much more expensive than the set of these hubs. I've been down that road before, twice...

Finally picked up the rear 300M hubs today... I have to say they exceed my expectations. These are forged out of 300M (Vacuum remelt steel), heat and cryo treated. Based on the metallurgical assessment, these are calculated to be close to 200% stronger that the OEM hubs. We ended up making two pairs to defray the development cost so I do have an extra pair available if any hardcore track guy is interested. On the stock hubs I've been averaging 2000 track miles between failure$ so the OEMs are an annual replacement for those tracking hard averaging 20-25 days per year. If you are putting in a lot of track miles on slicks, these will provided peace of mind. The hubs will fit the rear of any 5 lug 996/997TT, 996/997GT2/3. They are not cheap at $1300 each but they are the last hubs you'll need to buy..
