2005 Turbo S Cabrio 12v Sockets

Can anyone tell me where are the 12V sockets in the 2005 Turbo S cabrio, US model? The user's manual says they should be in the passenger footwell and in the storage tray on the console between the seats. I cannot find one in either location. I would like to use the socket for a trickle charger, because, according to the manual, they remain live when the ignition is off and the key removed, while the cigarette lighter, according to the manual, is disconnected. Any thoughts on this?

Only place I know of in my S cab is on the center dash, right side of the radio.
