My Exhaust Sets Off Car Alarms

At start-up, my exhaust produces a considerable rumble that can be heard and felt from far away. In fact, my exhaust rumble recently set off the alarm on a car parked next to me.

That being said, I have now confirmed that it is quieter than a Fabspeed. At a recent EuroSunday event, I parked next to Jay's Yellow TT with a Fabspeed, and we did an exhaust volume test. Everyone present agreed that Jay's Fabspeed is louder than mine.

Moral of the story: Do not park next to my car if you have a sensative alarm.

Heh mine does as well!! My record for driving through a downtown parking garage here is 8 cars I set off alarms on just by driving slow and normal Mine is for sure quieter than my old fabspeed at idle and low RPMS but as loud if not louder at full throttle (exactly what I like).

You think that is bad, try setting off three or four car alarms at once when you start your car two rows away in a parking lot. I guess 2 feet of 3" straight pipe will do that. Nevermind just driving down a street and seeing a nice row of lights flashing (from a few different cars), its kind of funny at night.

My ears are still ringing from following Jay to Euro Sunday..LOL. That exhaust is louder than a Harley with straight pipes.

Inside of a parking garage, my exhaust is deadly. Even outside, no alarm is safe. I love it.

Loud pipes save lives!

I havent been in any parking garages with my Fabspeed sport exhaust so cant comment on that, but it sure sounds quiet after the FVD straight pipes which is the sound I LOVE. Had to take them off because of the CEL every 2nd day or so.
Cant wait to get the chip so I can put them back on, nothing like hearing that engine rev without any mufflers or cat's.
Sounds like a lions roar in Hubbards Cave, my fellow Chicagoans will know exactly where that's at.

I'm with Jay on this one. My Fabspeed Loud is loud but once engine is warmed up the idle is actually not that bad. However, sure doesn't take much to make it bark. Love it!

Perhaps I'm getting used to it already..

It's no longer loud because your hearing is slowly being destroyed.

True story:
My neighbor, a retired COP threatened to Kill me a few days ago because he just can't take it anymore( my TT is too loud). Im serious. After talking to a seargant at the local station.... who actually knows my neighbor... told me I will have hell either way. I report .... and he will find out and really kill me. I dont report him... well... he might do it anyway.
He stopped me when I was leaving and said that he retired recently and has been feeling suicidal... and he was at the door steps with his gun the other day wehn I was leaving.
I'm not kidding.

Great tunnel at WOT if there is no traffic. Anyone know of any good tunnels besides Hubards around chicago? Northwest burbs perhaps?
