Anyone here own a Ford GT?

There is a red one down my street. The owner also has a CGT. I sat in the Ford and loved all the toggle switches, very retro and very racy. We took a quick spin in it, very fast but I did not like the sound, the whine from the S/C over powered the V8 tone.

Why? People didn't have problems w/ it w/ the pantera's. There are scary porsche dealers as well. A porsche tech probably has as much knowledge as a Ford/GM tech. It's just like w/ any brand, you just gotta have a good dealer. Everyone *****es about Chevy dealers, my dads got a great one that'll come pick his vette up on a flat bed whenever it needs service. Cars are always done promptly too.
Bottom line is, it most likely won't be scary.

My local Ford dealer actually has a dedicated GT tech. I was introduced to the guy, he seems great. He actually gave me his home # in case I needed him on the weekend.
My experience with my local Porsche dealer has been poor. I had a new GT2 with 500 miles on it with a cracked rear wing. It just delaminated. It took the dealer 4 months to contact Porsche and handle the warranty work.
It all depends on how the dealer principle chooses to run his operation.
