so, unofficially, the 265 will fit on the 11" rim and shouldn't cause problems?? Correct?

Lou
Lou don't depend me on saying this but i ran 265s on my 11in sport technos for the entire winter last year and it didn't have any problem... Lou do you by any chance recieve those letters that Porsche sends you before winter??? where they recommand brands and sizes for each rim spec??? because on there it says Turbos including sport technos are speced for 265 serise tires... and that is Porsche Recommanded... my 0.02

Lou,

Assuming we get snows for our cars...how you think they will handle in the snow?

Have you heard anything about this?

Hershel from Cargraphic told me that his friend had snows on his turbo and it handled unbelievable...Went right through everything... I am sure it will be great, having driven several BMW's with snow tires, they handled great and are rwd, awd should only be better

Lou, my tech editor buddy said you've got to get a narrower wheel in back, and running the 265 is smart (better traction on snow than a wider tire of same tread format), and running a spacer in rear to clear brakes and keep looks acceptable is fine.

So, looks like if you get a set of OE fronts for TT, but 10" rears w/spacers, you should be okay.

Or...you could make it easy and get winter-only aftermarket wheels w/tires from Damon and call it a day.

Or...you could get a custom set of HREs just for fitting winter tires!
