Wheel Specialists is pretty pricey. I went there once to have a tire balanced and they turned me away saying I needed to schedule an appointment and come back. I think they knew I was not there to spend $100s of dollars, so they turned me away, lol. No shop should be able to make $600 for 1 hour of work. You could probably buy a new set of turbo twists for that much.
Anyways, glad it worked out and that the car drives better now. That's all that matters

I wish they charged by the hour unfortunately they charge by the wheel would of been a whole lot cheaper lol. They actually charge $175 to fix per wheel (I asked for a discount). I should of been clearer on my original post the right rear wheel was the worst almost to the point they didn't think they could repair it without possibly cracking the rim. I had them check all 3 other wheels and they varied in damage but no where near the rear passenger I just elected to have them all repaired so they would all be perfect. I could of gotten away on two of the wheels by just balancing them as best they could but wanted them done right. No metal was removed they used a machine that heated the inside of the back of the wheel and the machine rounded them out from the rear. The rear's wheels are more common they said because of how wide Porsche's rear wheels are they tend to bend more going over pot holes or construction zones (we have lot of those out in az).

i smashed into a small boulder and bent a front and the place out here i went to charged 100 to straighten it and it was a one day turn. don't know how long it took but i wouildnt think more than an hour tops. it's been ( seemingly ) fine ever since.

You folks are right though, I guess that is pretty steep, I would have looked at it as I have four straight rims and it is done in an hour while I wait. Convenience at a price . . . KH

Yes they are pricier but you get what you pay for I use them because Discount Tire screwed up my car during a nail repair and they lifted my car on their lift and ruined my right & left side sills In which they paid to have repaired at the body shop of my choice. Yes I could of purchased a new set of twist on Craigslist but they could of been bent as well plus my wheels are powder coated black so would had wait even longer.
They also won't let me drive off with my wheel spacers on and always air up my tires to 40+ psi, providing me with extra work when I get home

Yep, it's their policy to not touch cars with wheel spacers for liability reasons. I just told them fine, then take them off before you put the wheels back on. Unfortunately I had to make a trip back home to get the stock wheel bolts. Then once I got the car back home, had to re-install the wheel spacers. Total pain in the butt!

Discount tire's policy on wheel spacers are if the spacers bolt to the hub then they will install them. If they are spacer plates they will not install them.

I would never take any of my cars to the major discount tire shops as I've had bad experiences= but to each his own. I use dealer or good indy, my local dealer installed my tires from tirerack with no crying etc lol.

I may have missed it but HOW MUCH 'bend' was there?
The hunter will give you lateral and axial run out- a little bit is technically 'bent' but may not be very significant. Road force balancing definitely will pick up 'bent rims' that you'd otherwise never see.
So OP- any idea how much they were off?
