yup, proefi 112

@wealthmanager - It was tuned it house. John Bray was in town, our in house tuner was home for the weekend, and we went out cruising, I turned the boost up 5psi but didnt pull any timing out, but who knows... Just speculating, the usb memory stick was in the laptop, not in the logger lol

Such a tiny hole, doesnt even misfire, drove it home after, just hear a very small hissing sound coming from oil tank side and see a little bit of gasket blown out.

Pulled the head off, the 2 studs at the end where the HG blew are stretched, all others are ok. Picture upload thing is broken for me, will carnage when it works again.

Bigger studs sound like good insurance, especially if they don't require a re torque procedure!

The bad experiences sometimes have more valuable info than the good ones. Thank you for sharing.

I'm all about sharing my pain and suffering in hopes that others can avoid it. Life is too short to keep rebuilding a motor over an avoidable problem.

Sean my .02 is the combination of the compression you went with on your piston, with Keeping the Stock Cams which Generate a lot of Cylinder pressure as you Know and not adjusting your Timing with Boost all these closed that Small Window to Begin with. At Least you got some fun out of it and I know you're gonna make it Bullet Proof now. I think you're gonna notice a huge change cleaning the Heads and the new Cams. Good luck and keep us Posted.

yes i have used them in my 996tt and they held up fine for a long time. when i turned it up i pushed the headgasket, that was before we O-ringed it. once it was properly O ringed the heads were on tight and car never showed signs of gasket failure event at very high boost and timing numbers. 155mph traps.

i purchased raceware again to use in my 997TT when time comes.
