Yup, I think that was an equally stupid comment to yours.

Lastly it's really stupid to use just numbers to compare cars. For me at least, it's about the drive and everyone who has driven the new M5 loves it.

wow Gustav great videos... keep up the good work... the M6 is definitly fast... and non of the cars in the videos are slow either... 996TT is a great car since it is 5 years old give it a break... it is going to be beat it is just sooner or later... the high compression V10s that the M5 and 6 are using is a great over all engine that can power these heavy Blv criusers to untouchable speeds in a flash... i have to give it to BMW this time that they've made a car that i would actually consider buying since Bangle took over... wow amazing job BMW and Gustav... Kudos

I honestly had no idea these cars M5/M6 were going to be anywhere near as fast as they seem to be, its mind boggling honestly.

I say GT2 is more pertinent because it's rather obvious to compare a 415hp Turbo vs. a 505hp car from a roll on with similar weights...
My main issue with BMW M cars is that their cars are not durable enough for track use or even really hard driving. My E39 M5 had a replaced engine due to a faulty rod bearing, and then the tie rod broke because apparently it couldn't handle the additional load of the Schnitzer suspension that I fitted in there. Then you look at all the M3's that had grenaded engines, as well as a series of M5's that had similar engine failure to mine.
Let's see how reliable BMW made this new V10 the first time around. As people start to accumulate miles or beat the cars up, I reckon the results will be interesting. My assessment is that the M6 will make an interesting highway bomber or a boulevard cruiser, but by no means is it a real sports car. It is, however, an interesting alternative to other GT cars like the Turbo, DB9,etc.
If I do get the M5, I will only keep it while under warranty, and I will use it for what it is, a beater car to go to the grocery store or haul clients/girls around.... If I want a sports car, only a Porsche will do for me, even if it is slower in a straight line (which I don't think applies in the case of my GT2). M6 is pointless for me, I think.

Better run it now before it gets a slight upgrade.
Obviously you aren't talking about a racetrack, are you?
