Black 996TT Mods

Hi all. I'm new here but been lurking for awhile.
Great forums! Lots of great ideas and informations.

I have an '03 996 Turbo and want to mod it out but not sure how to go about. Would it be possible if anyone willing to post up photos? Preferrably black Turbos?

Thanks much guys!

Anthony

Looks for now. I'm content with the stock power for now. I haven't done anything since new. So it's time for some mods. I don't want to do it all at the same time. Little bit at a time. Don't have much pictures at all

Suspension and wheels

Bilstein PSS-9 coilover suspension. It will improve both the handling and appearance substantially and is an inexpensive mod.

Look for some lightweight 18" 3-piece wheels with huge lips. They will transform the look of your car. Fat 19's will look even better, but are not worth the considerable deterioration in handling compared to 18's IMHO. Black on black looks menacing on a lowered turbo.

Black on black looks menacing on a lowered turbo. Good luck!

Suspension will run you $2000-3000 for the parts (full coilovers) for JIC, Bilstein, etc. Moton or JRZ will run you even more. The install will be anywhere from $1000-1500 give or take.

My advice is to get a set of 19" for the street and keep the stock 18" wheels for the track.

I agree with your recommendation of 19's for the street and the 18's for the track. Also, his primary concern is appearance for now and 19's clearly look the best on a lowered turbo. Good advice.

Thanks guys for the pictures! Cars look great!

Will 19's look "tucked" without having to lower the car? I don't like to be scraping as it does now. I like the GT2 looks but also the Techart. Can't decide and also wheels. What kind of wheels? I like the staggered look but I need visual. Please any suggestion?

How much for the tail and wheels? Does the tail still go up? Sorry for too much questions.

I'm on a quest to mod my ride and want to do it right. Thanks again guys!

You need to lower your car if you put on 19's. They look funny at the stock height.
