What's a "unicorn"?
I'm new to the whole Porsche thing. A recent convert from Corvettes. I've been seeing the term "unicorn" and wonder is this a term referencing a particular type/color Porsche or just hard to find models of any car? Thanks

since porsche originally was built in small select batches, unicorn was mostly referred to the rare optioned or unique low production color or a paint to sample car which may be the only color ever ordered. until the rise of the water cooled cars it wasn't unusual to see a certain porsche say a 993 turbo built to 150 units or less. a 959S built was 20 units total with maybe 15? left in the world . my personal favorite unicorn

If you watch "Crazy Hot Matrix" on You Tube you will understand a Unicorn. You will also fully understand a Unicorn doesn't exist. And if you have not watched it, it will truly put things in perspective that you may never have thought of.
