Ruf Yellowbird schools a Murci...VIDEO

Like RufMD said, I just think it's amazing how a nearly 20 year old Ruf car beats the latest from Lamborghini so handily. Would love to have a Lambo and would take it over a 911 turbo, but the Ruf Yellowbird is just legendary...

There is no magic to the yellowbird, it is simply an extremely light car, with a high Hp motor shoved in it. I had my own version of the yellowbird, a narrow bodied 911, that made over 700rwhp. It was devestatingly fast, it would obliterate anything, leave my Diablo on nitrous like i had slammed on the brakes and thrown it in reverse. Nothing ever came close to that car back almost 10 years ago when i had it, today, nothing else would still come close to it. Doesnt make up for the fact that today, it just looks like any old 911, drives like an old 911, and genuinely just feels like a very old car. Sort of like taking a pinto and shoving a 1000hp TT 427 in it. I also had that old 911 at speeds way above 200mph, and let me tellyou, that is not fun for any length of time.
This holds true for any car. my Sv for example, ive been driving it day and day out here in L.A. for the last 2 weeks, through the worst traffic and all. since ive been spending alot of time behind the wheel of newer murci and gallardos also, they really make the Diablo feel dated now. The other day, i was soo fed up with driving it, i was seriously going to trade it in for a new Bentley or maybe a Gallardo. Im certain that once my Murci is ready, the Diablo will see little drive time. The rumors of clutch failures are the fault of the driver or the previous driver, not the car. My clutch was just replaced, we posted the pictures on my site, after almost 7 years, it was still in good shape. in 7 years the car never let me down, always started, and cost me absolutely nothing in service. I can give you the names of countless other owners who have had the same experience. Its unfortunately the people who go buy a used car, with stated low mileage, that has unfortunately been rolled back 10X, and blows out his clutch and then hates the car.
Back to the Yellowbid, not only would i take any Murci over the yellowbird, Id take a Countach also. But on the Porsche front, id rather have any 996TT or Gt2 over that car also. Rakjoe has a serious 996TT, i believe stage 5, and that car just plain rocks. not to mention he likes scaring the **** out of me in it on canyon roads.

No, when I tried to get back on the site you guys banned my IP, it wont let me make a new user name.
All I can tell you is it was a topic about a Porsche beating a Lambo, Allan made his typical remarks and I stated the truth, they are both great cars but in that topic the Porsche embarressed the Lambo. The next morning, I was banned, I have not been back.
My user name was the same as it is here.

OK, here is your final post (out of 5 ) on Lambo-Power.
THIS is troling and you were rightfully banned by Allan.

Again, nothing vulgar about what I said.

Lets be realistic; I doubt there are many people cross shopping a 20 year Yellow Bird and a current Murcielago. Its unfair to make the comparison between two cars with two decades separating them.
However, given the choice between a modern day Ruf, say the Rt12 and a Murcielago...
Ruf Rt12 without a doubt.
