well, something doesn't sound right with "everything get used EXCEPT the two large washers".. i'm not sure that advice was given or followed in the four times i/we tried. hmm..
and since i wasn't doing anything but standing there looking perplexed, now I'm wondering if there might've been contributory negligence on my part. but how would i have known ?! grrr.

i just dont recall anyone ( or during this call that took place with tarret ) anyone mentioning the DISinclusion of ANY parts, and those large washers were highly visible and present. by now this has been rendered moot at least for me by my reversion back to oem top mounts, but i am highly subscribed, and curious. thx for posting the results of your inquiry. it sure might be helpful for others to know this, as i still wish i had been able to use them. frustrating ...

I left the lower washers there because it looked like it was a better shape to press against the rubber on the shock. I initially thought that was what was making the noise, but I tightened the shock so much, there is no way that's moving.

Edit: Did you get any instructions with yours? In my conversations with them, I suggested that would be a nice idea.

Update...

I had fixed my Tarett camber plates using a rubber pad that I made from 1/8th reinforced rubber...

...But the rubber soon began to loose it's effectiveness and I decided to do it right. Taking the design cues from Porsche I knew that I needed this little bump that stops the bearing from moving. The Tarett part does not have it, so the bearing is free to move:

Here is my solution... The inner hole is actually an ellipse, so I made an alignment notch that fits into a hole on the camber plate:

The other side has the missing notch in the form of a raised section. This part is stainless steel.

Now, with the bearing in place there is no movement whatsoever.

I took a test ride over a nice bumpy area and I am please to report - no clunks or noises at all. I will be passing this fix along to Tarett and, hopefully, they will include a similar part with their future kits.

Rep added for Slider- that's a great idea- and hopefully this will be addressed so we all can use this- I had heard Tarrett's don't work well with OEM struts/shocks, but will stay tuned.

All ball joints are fine. The issue has been fixed with the mod I posted. Everything is nice and tight now.
