Should I go matte or glass black wheel??


Or possibly a gloss lip and a matte center wheel? (or the opposite)

 

very hard to keep a matte/flat black wheel looking good, always seem to be 'chaulky'...gloss or nothing...or try anodizing..

 

^^ satin maybe, keep a silver lip? Try a peelable paint first maybe?

 

Black is sooooooooooo over done. Get more creative.

 

I like this idea for those silver lip, black centers and plastidip just to try the look

 

Chrome and silver is probably the most over done combo ever lol.


I am not a fan of chrome.......

 

The more and more I look at the RWB cars the more I think a subtle gloss black.......

Mine is being done with a matte black center with a gloss black lip.

 

Looks good as is.

Have you considered PVD? It's a newer finish that looks like black chrome once applied. It's stronger than chrome and has the durability of paint. Here is a link to one we have (won't fit your car but you get the idea). I'm not sure who does the finish 3rd party.

 

Yea years ago. It was actually my friend Georges car and he traded them for a GT3. They had no idea what they had at the time. He told me to go get it from them lol.

You can try it in plastidip with their base spray and metalizer I think to see what it would look like.

 

I may try plastip black with the glossifier and if I like it ill get em powdercoated. Just to test run it
