Actually the Yellowbird is very stable and easy to drive, I driven a few hours in one and many times at close to 200mph. It's aerodynamics are actually very good, it is really stable at 190+. The reason it's sideways is he deliberately drives like that to make a good video.
The brakes and tires on the other hand definitely felt like they are 15+ years old.
