Help! Whining Noise?

I have an '02 TT. I am hearing a constant whining or buzz-like noise after it's warmed up a bit. It's not loud and doesn't seem to increase in volume at speed. Any ideas?

Does it stop when you engage the clutch? If so...search...this has been discussed and there is a TSB to fix it.

Is your wife in the passenger seat?

Sorry, just kidding. Check the engine deck lid for leaves and stuff near the blowers.

MX, it's part of the vacuum assist system. some have mentioned they were able to eleminate the noise by changing out the power steering resevoir.
