I have my GT2 for sale and it is pretty much sold but I am seeing 996 GT2's asking more money than 997 GT2's with comparable miles. While this could be construed as overly optimistic sellers are people actually paying those prices? Would you want a 996 over a 997 GT2?

There is a GT2 (03 with 19k miles) going up for sale tomorrow at Auctions America. They are estimating $110k-$140k... see here:

If I had one, I'd keep it until I was buried in it...lol

Keep in mind that a 997 GT2 only produced in 2008 is a much different animal than a 997 GT2 RS and therefore will be priced worlds apart.

Yes sure, thats why the 400k price tag, but I would expect even an 08 to get good money and not less than a 996 GT2.

Here is a 2008 with 14k miles priced less than a 996 with 17k miles. The 996 GT2 was also yellow and was posted on ebay this morning but not listed any longer.

Local dealer had an '08 GT2 with 350 miles on it and sold it for 220k last month....

Rare to find a low mile untitled car but still... no way 996's are pulling higher numbers than 997's. Cheapest 997 GT2 i've seen was a yellow one on cars.com about a month ago with 20k+ miles and it was still 138k.

yeah but which'd you rather have?

http://www.lamborghinidallas.com/use...8974a34018ed95

while the gt2's and certainly the more limited rs gt2's have increased in value, as my local dealership had one a year ago for 250? and it was "newer" then, but there's even an '11 gt2rs for 279k. they can be found. just not "inexpensively" on dupont registry lol

yes there are 6GT2's selling for more then 7GT2's, not to say that's the norm though...
I prefer 996's to 997's, but if the 6's become more valuable then 7's I'd CONSIDER switching up...

A 2008 GT2 was recently posted here on 6speed: 34k miles and some mods
https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...-pictures.html
I don't know what it actually sold for, but his last posted asking was $127k OBO.
