Replace Front skirt / Lip on 996 Turbo
Does anyone know where I can get a replacement front bumper lower lip / skirt (the black plastic part at the bottom of the front bumper that gets scraped when you enter high-angle driveways, etc.) for a 2004 Porsche 996 Turbo? Obviously my local Porsche dealer can sell me one, but I was wondering if anyone knows of a reasonable spare parts website or if anyone has a spare they are looking to sell. Please let me know,
Marc

Marc,
i think get it from the dealer might be the better way to go since it's a big piece might cost u some $ to ship it anyways. don't be shy to ask for discount i normally give customers @ cost since i consider it's a wear item.

Perfect match and it snaps right on. Plus, it gives it more of a Ferrari 360 Modena'ish look. Give it a try. It is cheaper and built better (thicker) than the stock turbo lip. I have done this and so have many other owners on this site. Also, it gives you more ground (angle) clearance (in the center) when (if) you lower it.

does the 996 C4S lip have the same flaring on the side that the Turbo lip has?

Very easy, two screws on inner fenderwell, then pull off from snap connectors. The C4S is a direct bolt on, just be aware that, AD wise, it is designed for a car without a rear spoiler. If you never track your car probably not an issue. If you do track it, and get going fast your car will become erratic at high speed. That's why you must add a front splitter to a 996/C4S with a rear spoiler addition. Suncoast has it for 275 (TT), 300(C4S).
