Going to be ordering a GT2 front bumper in a few days...
I have been holding off a few more weeks hoping to get lucky and find a used oem gt2 front bumper, Well that obviously is not going to happen lol. So time has come and i need to make a decision. I know most people recommend Precision Porsche and I most likely will end up going with them. Before i make a purchase are there another manufactures that are worth buying from? Has anyone heard of MJSpeed? He is on the forum, I know he makes some really nice bumpers out of carbon for the gt3 guys, But i am having a really hard time getting a hold of him.. Any thoughts?

thats just completely unreasonable for a 13 yr old car. while i agree with using the proper ductwork is best this also includes the brake ducts the inner fender liners the radiator ducts and the pieces that attach to the bumper itself. this is over 4000$. add another 4000$ JUST for the poly bumper and it borders on insanity. save 2500$ and use the precision911 bumper or save 5000$ and use a RUF front bumper.

^That is your opinion mine just happens to be different. People spend money the way they see fit, some buy engine mods totaling way higher or second cars etc. that needs work. I would buy OEM and do it all.

Do you have it on your car?

No I personally do not care for trying to make a car look like something its not even though I have done it when I was younger. I would have bought a GT2 if I wanted one. I do use OEM parts when fit and finish are as apparent as they would be in this circumstance. I do really like the GT2 bumper set up and can see why you would desire it.

The GT2 bumper isn't just about appearance, it's an improvement in aero. Having a 'glass bumper myself I'd suggest the RUF bumper. It has proper aero, comes with ducts, looks great, and is cheaper. It's also not made of 'glass! I'm sorely tempted to get one but may go for the 997 look with running lights instead and grit my teeth over the fiberglass

I went for the GT2 Precision911 bumper for better aero at the track, not to make a GT2 replica. Way better downforce up front.
Better for the air to go over the top (aka down force) of the hood than under the car (aka lift) at speed.

If you can afford it, go OEM.

RUF bumper is absolutely NOT fiberglass. It comes with the two side ducts that are unique and larger than GT2 and a GT2 center duct. I don't believe the liners are replaced, they certainly hadn't been on Irish's car. I helped him install the center duct properly on his car and handled the bumper extensively doing so. His was one recently and can probably comment on what exactly came with it but I don't think he had to source anything.

I have the RUF and its 100% not fiberglass. The benefit of the RUF is that it's a one stop shop so to speak. Mine came with the urethane bumper, center and side ducts, undertray, and all new hoses. The only thing they didn't provide was coolant. And it was about 3500 shipped iirc. To do the oem gt2 it would've cost 10+k and that wasn't worth it to me. Everyone has their own preference, but if you can spare the coin, I'd get the RUF.

if it wasn't for the ducting, it would be mostly about looks. no?
can you imagine spending $10K NOW to do it right on a car with values as low as these? i can see *maybe* when new. but then i can also see paying for a gt2rs. in my next life.
