100 oct gas how much

I think $7.99 in San Jose last time I was there. 100 always seems to ride the upturns in gas prices, never the downturns!

By mean its $9.99 for 100 octane ever since gas was over $4.00 a gallon and never came down, now gas is 1.75 in near me. I asked the guy at the pump why it doesn't go down, but its like talking to my goldfish....
In my other turbo cars I used to mix 1-2 gallons of E85 with 93 octane. I'm not sure the exact octane it will raise but i assume it will bring it to 95-96 octane without going too nuts on ethanol. Some people have reported going as much as 30/70% E85/93 bu that point I think you need a retune and risk upsetting the fuel properties and fuel components due to the corrosive nature of e85.
But 1 or 2 gallons shouldn't hurt.

If you just want to use it once in a while paying the $8.99/gallon while a bit pricy is probably the easiest solution. I mean you pull up to the pump and add as much of this 100 octane gasoline as the tank can hold, or your budget can stand.
If the above doesn't appeal to you there is toluene. Here's a link to using this as an octane booster:

Since you are in CA not sure if you can just order a barrel of toluene. Even if you can then you have to be aware of what precautions you need in storing and handling it.
Regarding storing toluene: If God forbid your house catches fire your home owners insurance might refuse to honor the insurance claim if it comes out you were storing a large quantity of this stuff in your garage.
Also, even if your homeowners insurance allowed for it, and zoning laws allowed for it, you might have to post some kind of warning sign up to let firefighters know what's inside the building.
Adding E85 or just straight ethanol is another way but ethanol has less energy so while you get the bump in octane you have less energy in given amount of fuel.
