Road Racing tune
Any specific tune features to consider ?
Would do a low timing tune, but my actual tune is based on high/very high timing but running lower boost instead to keep things safe and happy
I am using now boost by rpm and boost by gear through boost controller but thinking about new things coming out on newer cars
1.advanced traction control settings or PSM tune, on the GTR scene there is a lot of improvement from traction control tuning alone. Seen also new TCM modules for Porsche too, I know we can completely disconnect PSM but wondering if a track oriented PSM can help us getting better times or at least can equal those times but add some safety at the limit
2. what about new features of MT cars (new 911 or new Bmw M2)
"For those still working on their heel-and-toe technique the manual ‘box will blip the throttle on downshifts, as will the DCT for that matter. Power is sent exclusively to the rear tyres, as you’d expect, and hooliganism is positively encouraged."
Feel free to consider other features, maybe will have some tuners interested into this

Fadi, you need to fully disconnect PSM. Even in it's sleep mode (OFF) it is not designed to deal with the slip angles an aggressively driven car will see at the track. No way around it. You will need to have if fully off to extract max performance out of the car. For novice drivers or those initially learning the car, it's a good thing but beyond that, no.

We are installing tomorrow a switch to turn on/off that fuse, so will have in conjunction with PSM switch on the dash:
PSM ON
PSM OFF - only for acceleration, under braking will come on (psm off switch)
PSM OFF - for real (fuse off)
Will try psm off completely this weekend and let you know how my opinion

I'm not sure what fuse you are talking referring to Fadi. There is only one fuse which controls both ABS and PSM. If you pull it you will lose ABS also. To retain ABS while fully disabling PSM, you can simply unplug the PSM connector or install a simple $2 ON/OFF switch in the power supply to the PSM pump. You can mount it in the plastic cover in the truck for easy access. I did that years ago but never actually turned PSM on again so I removed everything including the PSM pump, yaw sensor and everything else PSM related.

Gotcha. When you disconnect the PSM pump (or cut power to it via a switch), you will get a PSM light in the dash and a "PSM failure drive to workshop" message in the instrument cluster when you start the car. You can clear the failure message with the stalk but it will ding and reappear every 30 minutes at which point you will need to clear it again with the stalk. To completely get rid of any PSM fault messages you will need to install a GT2 instrument cluster which does not contain any PSM programming and is not "looking" for a PSM signal coming from the ABS unit.

Nobody has this on a 996tt/gt2 ? Guess will ask my tuner about it and check if our ECU can support it, dont know if is going to work better than doing it by ourselves, for me I dont master this technique yet so would be a good addition to my tune
This is what I am talking about
