Help...noise from engine bay thread...again
OK, folks I know this topic has been beat to death, however I am hoping that ya'all can help me determine the source.
I have a noise which sounds like it is due to the power steering pump. It only shows up after the engine warms up. The noise is not there with the S belt removed. All idlers have been replaced. My steering is not impacted in any way, and turning the steering to each stop does not change the noise. BTW, it has been there since I purchased the car over a year ago.
A poster on an earlier thread had a similar noise, and ultimately his tech determined it to be the pump. The tech also mentioned that it could only be rectified with a replacement pump, but it would not be a problem to leave it, just an annoyance.
I have include 2 video files, one cold and one warm.
Thanks for any help in advance.

vids are vids are never as helpful as "being there" but that 2nd vid does not sound like the typical ps steering pump valve "whine" admitted by porsche and mostly covered while under factory warranty in tsb 4897.
not as mine "did" anyway. the easiest way to self diagnosis though far from scientific, is to engage the clutch and if the noise disappears, it is likely the valve whining and living with it or without it, seem to be your options. the latter of course, necessitating the replacement for the 1000 bucks, or whatever it might be up to now

The actual pimp may be going bad. I've seen it before on a car. Level was full but it had the noise. Needed a new one.
